Military exercise today

Elements of HQBF and other agencies will be taking part today in a routine exercise to test the MOD’s preparedness in the event of an incident at the nuclear berth. It is called Exercise Rocky Sparrow.
As in previous years, this will include ‘real time’ scenarios which will take place on the South Mole and which may involve the sounding of the Evacuation Alarm around midday.
The exercise may also involve activity which the public may think is unusual. "They should not be concerned: these exercises are conducted in order to ensure our operational effectiveness," said the MOD.
