The total expenditure of electricity stands at £35 million a year, according to the latest accounts of the Gibraltar Electricity Authority.
Sale of electricity to consumers amounted to £22 million; purchase of electricity from OESCO totalled over £14 million; the cost of fuel was £8.6 million while arrears from consumers was nearly £7 million.
