Jet skis causing problems at Eastern Beach

Not only are fishermen causing a headache to the authorities, but jet skis from Spain could be affecting safety at Eastern Beach.
Beachgoers say that the jet skis come in from Spain at great speed, taking no notice that they are in a bathing area and in British waters.
The Spanish are simply refusing to recognise Gibraltar waters, said an upset beachgoer.
We asked the police about it and they said: "We are currently dealing with a few incidents concerning Spanish riders who appear to be flouting our demarcated areas and navigating in a dangerous manner.
"We are liaising with the GC and looking at different avenues to pursue this matter. Naturally there is an element of safety and trying to stop a jet ski is very difficult and dangerous."
