The Governor said “Following closely on from the HM the Queen’s Birthday Honours List, I am delighted to be able to make, extraordinarily, these additional awards in immediate recognition of two individuals who made exceptional contributions to the recent Royal Visit by TRH the Earl and Countess of Wessex. I offer my warmest congratulations to both recipients. Their awards represent not only their outstanding personal contributions but also reflect the enormous amount of enthusiasm and hard work that went in across the board to making the Royal Visit such a success”. Stephen Ramagge has worked for the last 7 years in No 6 Convent Place. He is Secretary to the Diamond Jubilee committee and was also entrusted to lead all of HM Government of Gibraltar’s arrangements for the Royal Visit. Inspector Ian Howes has been a police officer for nearly 27 years. Currently working in Special Branch he played a crucial role in the preparation, co-ordination and conduct of the personal protection plan for TRH during the Royal Visit.
