Out with ‘pirate flag’ of Rock, says Spanish party

About ten members of an unknown Spanish political party, known as 'Espana2000', were at the Spanish frontier at the weekend waving large Spanish flags,and handing out insulting leaflets against Gibraltar.
The Union Jack was defaced to get the message across that the 'pirate' flag should be removed from the Rock.
It calls on Spain to adopt a position of strength to achieve 'the integration of the Rock' in Spain's national sovereignty.
Three main slogans urged that English products should not be purchased; that the frontier should be permanently closed and that the 'pirate flag of the Rock' should be removed!
Judging by what the party stands for in general terms, it would appear that they are an extreme right-wing set-up. Those who came to Gibraltar were from the Cadiz branch.
