A convincing result in Granada

The Gibraltar Rhythmic Gymnastics Association participated at the X Torneo de Gimnasia Ritmica Granada, the competition was labelled as International due to the Gibraltar Associations presence.
The event was held at the splendid Ciudad Deportiva Pabellon de Armilla, where the 2002 18th Rhythmic Gymnastics European Championships where held.
Sixteen Gymnastics Schools / Clubs from around Andalucia took part with over 130 gymnasts competing in five of the Rhythmic Gymnastics Individual disciplines:-Free Exercises, Rope, Ball, Hoop and Clubs.
Teams from Granada, Cordoba, Malaga, Sevilla, Huelva, Marbella, Dos Hermanas, San Lucar, Sancti Petri, Chiclana and Gibraltar. The Gibraltar Rhythmic Gymnastics Association participated with four gymnasts of the "Copa de Andalucia "A" level (Spanish National level "B") two in the infantil Free Exercises and two in the infantile Hoop.
Emma Vaughan won Bronze Medal 3 rd place in the infantil age group Hoop section. Chloe Vaughan came 4th in the infantil age group Free Exercise section. Nicola Bosio came 5 in the infantil age group Free Exercise section Grabiella Gracia came 6th in the infantil age group Hoop section
The Association's Head Coach and Technical Director Sally Holmes was delighted with this result, commenting that the competition standard was extremely high and that this result shows that we are there, that we have made it to compete at that level without any difficulty, allowing for, like in any other sports we can win or we can loose. She was very pleased and happy with the girls as these result will encourage them to continue working.
The Gibraltar Rhythmic Gymnastics Association Committee would like to express thanks to Parents and Family that supported the gymnasts and Coaches at all times, and also for covering full expenses of the two days stay at Granada, without their support this end result would not have been possible.
