Colombian found with false Gibraltar documents

A man of Colombian nationality has been jailed for 22 months and fined 1,800 euros for using a Gibraltar ID card and driving licence, both being false.

It happened in Madrid where the man was asked by police to identify himself. He produced a driving licence purported to have been issued in Gibraltar and an ID card, which turned out to be a Gibraltar Health Card! And he also had a Gibraltar port card, which was of a poorer quality.

Spanish police said in a Madrid court that the other documents were of a high quality, and could have passed as authentic.
