Spring art exhibition winners

The Gibraltar Spring Art Exhibition organised by the Ministry of Culture in association with the Fine Arts Association, is being held at the Casemates Exhibition Vaults. The Minister for Culture, Steven Linares officially opened the Exhibition and presented the prizes last evening.
A total of one hundred and twenty three entries by seventy four local artists have been submitted. Ms Maiju Tirri carried out the judging.
The Prize winners are:
First Prize - £1500 Jane Langdon ‘My Heart’
Second Prize - £750 Alan Perez ‘Her Majesty’s Beacon’
Third Prize - £500 Christian Hook ‘Requiem’
The Alwani Foundation Prize for the Best Gibraltar Theme - £500 Alan Perez ‘Our Gibraltar’
The Solomon (Momy) Levy MBE Award for the best Diamond Jubilee Theme - £750 Christian Hook ‘The Queen’
