Serious robbery, says police

It was about 9pm on Sunday when two men are believed to have entered a local establishment at Market Place and staged a robbery, which the RGP are trying to unravel. Police said it was a serious incident.
Said the RGP: "It is believed that two men forced their way into a shop and seriously assaulted the shop assistant, a young lady, robbing her of the cash intake during the course of the day.
"CID officers are investigating this incident and are making a plea for any information. We encourage anyone that may have seen or heard anything to contact the duty officer on telephone number 20072500."
