Tourism Advisory Council to meet monthly

The Minister for Tourism, Public Transport & the Port, Neil Costa has chaired the first meeting of the newly appointed Tourism Advisory Council. The Council will meet initially on a monthly basis and was last convened in its previous guise in May of 2011.

The Council brings together representatives of Gibraltar’s tourism industry, the Gibraltar Chamber of Commerce and the Gibraltar Federation of Small Businesses.

The aim of the Council is to advise the Government on tourism matters and to formulate action plans to drive tourism initiatives.

Commenting on the meeting Minister Costa said, “I am delighted at the constructive nature of the meeting and the very useful contribution from all those present. The Government is committed to the tourism industry and I look forward to working with the Council to achieve growth in this sector of the economy.”
