BREAKING NEWS: Algeciras mayor Landaluce in sudden Gib visit

by JOE GARCIA: The PP mayor of Algeciras Jose Ignacio Landaluce has made a sudden visit to Gibraltar to have talks with the government here.
The media was informed at very short notice. Landaluce and his team held talks with chief minister Fabian Picardo and his team at No.6 Convent Place. The Spaniards left about two hours later.
The visit comes following a row over Spanish fishing in Gibraltar waters. Gibraltar police have been informing Spanish fishermen that they are not allowed to fish using illegal nets in British territorial waters.
The Spaniards, including Landaluce, claim that the waters surrounding the Rock are Spanish. This is rejected by Britain and GIbraltar.
