Charity cheques

Rotary (Gibraltar) Ltd yesterday presented cheques to the Gibraltar Society for Cancer Relief (Mrs Marisa Desoiza) and the Gibraltar Club House Project (Mrs Emily Olivero) in the presence of the Minister for Health and the Environment, Dr John Cortes.
The cheques were presented by Rotary's Mr Athan Anderson on behalf of the workforce that had been involved in the Hospital Project and the subsequent repairs as part of the Defects Liability period. Both charities received £3600.
The money was raised by the contractor when he disposed of the defective copper pipe that had to be replaced as part Defects Liability period. This was part of the New Hospital Project. The contractor has kept these monies on the premise that this would be donated to charity at some point. The Contractor is very happy to make this donation on behalf of the staff at Rotary Gibraltar to both charities.
