QCs for six

The Governor, Sir Adrian Johns, has appointed the following as Queen’s Counsel, confirming what was common knowledge in town for several days:
Robert Michael Vasquez, Mark William Isola, Keith Azopardi, Gilbert Horace Licudi, Michael Llamas and Gillian Maria Guzman.
The appointments were made on the advice received from the QC Appointments Committee formed last year.
Sir Adrian said: “It gives me great pleasure to make these appointments – the first for many years in Gibraltar and the first under the new process established last year. I would like to offer my congratulations to those appointed QC and my thanks to the Appointments Committee, which has had to take some difficult decisions given the wealth of quality in the candidates nominated.”
