Convenor post to be clarified

The TGWU/ACTS and GHA Management met at St. Bernard?s Hospital on Tuesday to discuss matters arising out of the appointment of the TG&WU/ACTS convenor.
The meeting was chaired by Mr Ernest Britto, the Chairman of the GHA and attended by members of the GHA Executive Management Team, Mr Charlie Sisarello Branch Officer TG&WU/ACTS, the new convenor Mr Luis Gonzales and the shop stewards who are members of the Nursing Committee of T&G ACTS.
"A full and frank discussion took place on recent management and union actions, the role of the convenor, the resolution of staffing issues arising out of the appointment and the conduct of future industrial relations within the GHA," said a joint statement.
It was agreed that the job description and function of the convenor would be clarified in a document to be developed jointly and that further meetings would be held to discuss these matters.
