Positive meeting on the environment, says Linares

The new Shadow Minister for the Environment Steven Linares held a meeting last week with the Gibraltar Ornithological and Natural History Society (GONHS).

The objective of the meeting was to establish contact and exchange views on a wide range of issues as they affect Gibraltar’s environment. Mr Linares had the opportunity to put across the views of the Opposition and was able to listen and take note of the views of the experts in this field.

Commenting on the matter, Mr Linares said:

“I am very grateful to the Council of GONHS for agreeing to see me and for such a positive and productive meeting. The environment will be central to our policy-making in Government, as was reflected in our last election manifesto, and it proved very useful to be able to discuss ideas with such a well respected and expert body as GONHS.”
