Armistice Day
|

Armistice Day was marked yesterday with a short ceremony at the lobby of Parliament House. At this location, memorials are found commemorating the names of those Gibraltarians who lost their lives in the Wars.
A two-minute silence was marked by the firing of a gun by the Royal Gibraltar Regiment at 11am. A bugler then sounded the Last Post.
Wreaths were laid by the Speaker Haresh Budhrani, the Chief Minister Peter Caruana, the Mayor Anthony Lombard, the acting Leader of the Opposition Dr Joseph Garcia and Pepe Fabre representing the Royal British Legion.
Guards of Honour were provided by the Royal Gibraltar Regiment, the Royal British Legion Gibraltar Branch and by local War Veterans.
This was followed by a reception hosted by HW at the City Hall.
