GBC agree to reply by Opposition to Chief Minister's broadcast

GBC have finally agreed to allow the Leader of the Opposition to reply to the Chief Minister's ministerial statement.
They say that 'having particular regard to Section 111(3)(i) of the Governor in Council's Directions to GBC dealing with Political Braodcasts and section (3) (5) dealing with Fair Balance, the Board has decided, in its discretion, to grant the Opposition the broadcast requested.'
It is not clear why this decision was not taken in the first place - the inordinate delay means that Mr Bossano will now be replying to what Mr Caruana said about two weeks ago!
The date and time of the broadcast will be made known in due course.
