Massive power cut puts Gibraltar four hours in the dark

What has been described as a 'major fault' plunged almost the whole of Gibraltar into four hours of darkness this morning, affecting businesses, tourists and households.
At around 10.30 a fault developed which meant that almost, if not all, of Gibraltar was without any electric power, including those areas supplied by the MOD generating station.
Power began to be restored at around 1.30pm, altough it was sometime later that internet connectivity was restored.
