Gibraltar Law firm ranked No.1

Hassans international law firm is once again delighted to be ranked No 1 in the independent directory, Chambers Global 2010. Its stand-alone position further strengthens the firms’ reputation, expertise and quality of service to clients.

Javier Chincotta, Managing Partner at Hassans says, “It gives a certain satisfaction to be ranked in this way, knowing that the basis of position is dependant upon client interviews. We constantly strive to achieve excellence in client service and this recognition confirms that belief.”

Chambers and Partners select firms for rankings based on a 3 step process; submissions put forward by legal practices; client interviews during the course of research; and their own database resources.

In addition to their No.1 Ranking, Senior Partner, James Levy QC (pictured) received a ‘Star Individual’ ranking (the only Gibraltar lawyer to do so). This ranking is given to lawyers with exceptional recommendations in their field, said statement.

Chambers says: “With a wealth of resources and depth of expertise spanning so many different areas, it is unsurprising that Hassans' lawyers draw much comparison with London's leading legal luminaries. Remarked upon for his extensive knowledge, senior partner James Levy QC has proved an instrumental figure in developing the jurisdiction, and has strong connections with the local and international legal community. This "tremendously charismatic and very driven" lawyer's extensive practice includes international joint venture work, private client work and property transactions.”

James Levy adds: ”We are thrilled to once again receive the ranking of No.1 in Gibraltar, this not only gives a boost to firm morale, but it is also an opportunity to thank our most valued clients who provided feedback and client testimonials for us on an anonymous basis and indeed to all the members of the firm. I am very proud to be at the helm of this firm, so closely connected to my family for 70 years and whose members I consider to be an extended family.
