Visit to Worcester
Questioner: N F Costa, Can Government say who hosted and organised (from the UK end) the visit to Worcester by the Minister for Family, Youth & Community Affairs in November?

ANSWER: THE MINISTER FOR FAMILY. YOUTH & COMMUNITY AFFAIRS

The cost of the visit to Worcester was £3147.94 broken down into:-

Hotel costs £1375.00

Subsistence £ 694.94

Flights £1078.00

TOTAL £3147.94

I was accompanied by Mrs Carmen Maskill - CEO Designate and Ms Jennie Allison -CSCD (Clinical Standards Compliance Director)

The Clinical Standards Compliance Director (CSCD) of the Care Agency, was asked to arrange a visit. Having first hand knowledge of Worcestershire County Council and the range of facilities offered by the Council, the facilities visited were all relevant to the information required for the purpose of the visit.

The visit was hosted and organised by:-

The Director of Children's Services, Worcester Day Services and the Head of Integrated Services for Children and Families, Worcestershire County Council, County Hall, Spetchley Road, Worcester.

Cervical cancer vaccines

Questioner, Neil F Costa: Can Government say how many females were administered the vaccination against cervical cancer since October 2009 with a breakdown by month?

September figures are included because vaccine is administered in three doses at two and six month intervals; figures of the in between months mainly reflect those unable to attend at the appointed months.

Patients to Spain

Questioner: The Hon Neil F Costa: Can Government confirm whether it is the policy of the GHA that patients taken to hospitals in Spain by GHA ambulance then have to make their own way back to Gibraltar if they are discharged by the Spanish hospital?

ANSWER: THE MINISTER FOR HEALTH AND CIVIL PROTECTION

The mode/method of travel for patients returning from tertiary care in Spain is determined by the doctor/medical team in the tertiary hospital/centre.

Patients who are discharged home and are considered by the medical team in the tertiary hospital/centre to be sufficiently fit to travel on their own, are required to make their own travel arrangements.

Patients who are discharged to St Bernard's for readmittance are transferred via GHA ambulance (and nurse escort team).

The revenue raised by Government on a monthly basis in admissions to the Gibraltar Museum for this financial year are as follows :-

Frontier Workers

The total number of frontier workers registered with the Employment Service as at end of October 2009 broken down by nationality is, British 2,165, Moroccan 5, Spanish 3,499 Other EU 1,012 and Other Non EU 127.

The total number of frontier workers registered with the Employment Service as at the end of January 2010 is 6654.

The total number of Spanish frontier workers registered with the Employment Service as at the end of January 2010 is 3286.
