Sporting Miss Gib shows talent

Miss Gibraltar 2009, Kaiane Aldorino, has participated and succeeded in reaching the finals of both the “Sports” and “Talent” rounds at the Miss World Pageant.
The Sports round was held at the stunning Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth. Miss Gibraltar was part of the winning team named “The African King Penguins”. Additionally, out of 120 contestants, Kaiane made it to the “Top 10” in the Individual Sports round. She took part in a series of tasks testing her all-round sporting abilities which included sprinting, an assault course and a thrilling penalty shoot-out held at next year’s World Cup Final venue.
Miss Gibraltar also went through to the “Top 10” in the Talent section. The finals took place at the Victory Theatre in Johannesburg where she performed her prepared dance routine called ‘Mirza’, which was choreographed by Yalta Pons from Urban Dance.
