Waters issue spills over

Mr Caruana was asked how the question of territorial waters had been settled, he said that the issue had not prevented anything at the meeting.
Papers were released containing a form of words regarding maritime and environment matters which reflected the agreed language all three sides are content to make perfectly clear that the dispute had been resolved in respect of this process - but they remained at loggerheads elsewhere, referring to the court case.
Mr Miliband said the British Government fully supported Gibraltar in the court case, but he would not be drawn if they would join in the action. "We do not recognise the designation made by Spain," he said.
The detailed framework for agreement had been produced without prejudice to the waters issue.
