Gibtelecom?s Customer Services Centre, currently located at Europort, will be moving to the company?s new premises at John Mackintosh Square on Tuesday.
Gibtelecom?s Customer Services Manager, Derek Ghio, said: ?The company has been planning for this move for many months now, and the new shop will enable the company to provide a customer-friendly environment and experience, as well as added convenience through its central location and extended opening hours.?
The new opening hours will be 9am to 6pm Monday to Friday (previously 8.30am to 5.30pm).
Gibtelecom will also be trialling Saturday morning opening again, from 10am to 1pm? to see if the demand for this service is there.
The new and modern Gibtelecom Customer Service Centre, conveniently located in the centre of town, will see the full introduction of the various customer focused quality enhancing technologies which have been trialled at the current shop located at Europort, said a statement. These include an open plan layout and advanced ticketing systems, which minimize waiting times through efficient use of Gibtelecom?s multi-tasking and personalised customer service environment.
The company?s Customer Service Agents are trained to help with all communications needs, from can applying for a telephone line; subscribing to a mobile plan; signing up for Gibtelecom?s WOW ADSL service; purchasing a mobile handset; or getting technical support to paying a bill all under one roof ? ?a true one-stop shop? said Mr Ghio.
Gibtelecom is making the best of the many benefits associated with having these new premises adjoining the Haven and City Hall, where much of the company's technology is already located. The new building, which was constructed by Casais and completed at the end of 2008, runs over six levels and occupies a total area of approximately 1,300 square metres. A number of Gibtelecom departments have already relocated to the building such as Information Technology, Wireless Technologies and Sales and Marketing, a statement adds.
As a consequence of the relocation of Gibtelecom?s Customer Service Centre, the existing shop at Suite 801 Europort will be closed with effect from 5.30pm on Friday 12 June.
