The sediment now an eyesore!
|
Excerpt from Roving Eye While Ocean Village was being constructed the state of the sea around that area was logically always cloudy and dirty with the ongoing works, the sand, the cement and everything that has to do with construction especially the drilling.
Some thought that this cloudy and murky water was an eyesore and never considered that the dust and dirt would settle and the sea water would once again be clear and transparent.
Well that day has arrived and the sea is once again clear all around the islands, so clear in fact that now one can see the bottom and notice that all the sand, cement and what-have-you that clouded and dirtied the water originally, has all settled at the bottom and it is now the sea bed that desperately needs cleaning and clearing of all the debris.
On other occasions that I visited the complex, I noticed to my disgust that empty cans of soft drinks and other refuse floated about which did not enhance the appearance of the place. On this visit, I did not see such flotsam, though I must admit that I did not look at every nook and cranny, I was not on a fault finding mission, I was there to enjoy myself as I jolly well did!
May I suggest to Ocean Village management that these observations are not exclusively mine, there are people who notice these things and take a rather dim view, would it not be a good idea to have the sea bed cleared and cleaned so that no one has the slightest motive to criticise the Village adversely?
