Charity event by Women's Corona Society

The Women's Corona Society recently held a very successful charity card afternoon and raffle, where around 120 members and guests attended. A good time was had by all who attended.
The Mediterranean Rowing Club very generously made their club and catering facilities available for this event and enabled the society to raise a substantial amount for local charities that look after the sick and elderly in our community.
Chairperson Maruchi Risso and committee members also thanked the many traders and individuals who despite the present economic climate donated many prizes for this raffle.
The Society that caters mainly for the 40 plus woman, helps the elderly men and women who live on their own by organizing lunch and tea parties, and at Christmas makes cash gifts to elderly people living on their own.
