Motorbike-rider dies in accident

A 27-year old man involved in a traffic accident has died. The funeral takes place this afternoon, says a death notice.
The serious accident occurred at Europa Road at the weekend by the Glen Rock distillery. It involved one motor cycle.
As a result, the motorcycle?s rider 27 year old Nicholas Pembroke suffered fatal injuries.
He was rendered first aid by a member of the public and later by Police officers who arrived at the scene.
He was conveyed to St Bernard?s Hospital by ambulance where medical staff attempted to resuscitate him but his life was pronounced extinct.
A Coroner?s investigation is underway.
