QE2 sails from Rock

To the strains of the band of the Royal Gibraltar Regiment, the QE2 sailed away from the Rock at the weekend on her way to becoming a hotel in Dubai.
What a great idea, sure to draw many tourists.
With Gibraltar having a lack of hotels, could not another smaller, liner but equally well-known be berthed here as a hotel?
Gibraltar needs ideas that will attract people to stay here a few days and thus provide Gibraltar with more real tourists.
Can anyone imagine what Gibraltar tourism would be like if the day visitors did not come?
It serves to highlight what a flop we have been in respect of attracting longer-stay visitors.
