New fitness gym opens today

The new fitness gym at Kings Bastion Leisure Centre will be open for public viewing as from 5pm today. Full operation for users will begin as from Monday.
The variety and level of fitness training equipment, fee structure, ancillary facilities provided and the location of the fitness gym, as well as its opening hours are designed to provide the local community with comfortable, accessible and quality fitness facilities, says the culture ministry.
It is hoped this will encourage people to ?exercise? in order to improve their personal fitness levels and, subsequently, their quality of life. This is another of Government?s sports development initiatives and is aimed to cater for all levels of fitness needs of our community.
The Gibraltar Sports & Leisure Authority will manage the Fitness Gym and the Authority?s Staff will supervise the use of equipment, run the required induction courses, and provide advice to users as necessary.
The general public are invited to take the opportunity of viewing this new facility. Enrolment forms will be available as from today and bookings for the induction training will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
