Gibraltar runs dry!

Gibraltar has run dry of petrol, following the panic buying that has taken place in the wake of the Spanish transport strike. Initially triggered by an avalanche of Spanish motorists, local cars were also to join in for fear that they would end up without any petrol.
Yesterday, there were signs indicating that there was no petrol or diesel. In mid-afternoon the cepsa service station had some 95 octane petrol left.
In Spain the police were escorting tankers taking petrol to service stations, although many others had run dry and were not being replenished. Demonstrations continued by the lorry drivers.
