Final concert of season

The final concert of The Gibraltar Philharmonic Society?s 2007-08 Season sees it continue its series of yearly concerts aptly titled ?A Celebration of Opera?.
The series will see soprano Takesha Meshe Kizart of the Deutsche Oper and tenor Alex Vicens perform Opera arias, duets and famous songs with piano accompanist Guillermo Garcia Calvo on Thursday 29 May at 20:30hrs at St Michael?s Cave.
A spokesman for the society commented ?we have the pleasure of welcoming back one of our audiences all time favourite performers in Mr Alex Vicens who on this occasion will be joined by newcomer to Gibraltar Ms Takesha Kizart; who is certainly making it big in the world of Opera; and of course, who can forget the very talented accompanist Guillermo Garcia Calvo who was here at last year?s Celebration of Opera; so making it twice in 2 years that he visits Gibraltar; a testament that Gibraltar is capable of attracting performers of the highest calibre to come and perform here time and time again?.
Tickets priced at ?20 each are available from The House of Sacarello in Irish Town and The Silver Shop at 275 Main Street.
The cost of the ticket includes a bus shuttle (return) service; departing from Ince?s Hall as from 19:30hrs.
