Chief Minister flies off to UK

The Chief Minister Peter Caruana has flown to London, but No. 6 Convent Place was tight-lipped about the nature of the visit.
A succinct statement was issued last night which said: "The Chief Minister Peter Caruana leaves for London this evening on official business. He is accompanied by the Financial Secretary Dilip Dayaram Tirathdas. The Chief Minister returns on Thursday."
The fact that he is accompanied by the Financial secretary would seem to indicate that financial matters are to be addressed. No doubt meetings will be held with relevant UK departments.
They will have a full day in London before returning to Gibraltar tomorrow Thursday.
