South-west LibDem visits Rock

Richard Copus from the South West Liberal Democrats was in Gibraltar last week for a short personal visit.
Mr Copus is no stranger to Gibraltar. In 2002 he assisted in the adoption of a resolution on self-determination for Gibraltar at the UK Liberal Democrat party conference in Brighton. He has also been present at the National Day rally in the past.
During his visit, Mr Copus paid a courtesy call on the Leader of the Liberal Party Dr Joseph Garcia.
Dr Garcia said that Mr Copus was a friend of Gibraltar and a pro-Gibraltar campaigner and that it was a always a pleasure to welcome him here. The connection with the South West of England was particularly relevant given that we are part of that Euro-constituency.
