Not Fair!

Why not move the fair from its present location?
The Fair is coming back to town, with the respective dates being from the 18th-26th August.

The fair will once again be brought over from the UK and will once again be held in the Commonwealth Parade. No details have as yet been given on the rides that are coming or whether there will be anything new. It is likely that the Marquis will be set up beside the fair that will provide food and entertainment and it is also very likely that there will be more foam parties.

Many people will no doubt be worried about the parking issue. By holding the fair at Commonwealth Parade, about 500 cars are left without a parking space with no other alternative. With parking being so limited now, what will happen when the fair comes? Are we going to h#ve stranded cars left, right and centre?

Whether we like it or not, the fair will throw the parking issue into even more chaos and since it looks like nothing is going to be done anytime soon, why not consider holding the fair in a different location.

A while back the fair used to be held at Coaling Island; a perfect spot seeing as it not near any residential areas so loud noise wouldn't be a problem, and it would also free up the parking in Commonwealth Parade. It would not solve the parking issue, but it will prevent it from getting worse over the course of fair week.

Should the public dread me coming of fair week? If something is not done about this, the Gibraltar parking/issue will be plunged into more chaos.
