MOD minister in crucial visit to Gibraltar

The armed forces minister Adam Ingram arrived in Gibraltar last night and plans to leave the Rock this morning. During his lightning visit he will formally announce the MOD decision over the ISP contract.
Following his arrival here yesterday evening, the MOD minister was driven to the Convent. At 9.30 this morning he will meet the chief minister Peter Caruana and inform him of the decision.
There will be a press conference in the afternoon at HMS Rooke.
The MOD workforce in Gibraltar will also be officially informed - and everyone was waiting to see whether the decision will be for contractorisation or an in-house option, both cases providing challenges and opportunities to the workforce who over the years have been accustomed to operating in a non-commercial basis.
