Over 300 delegates attended the Gibraltar reception at the Labour Party Conference in Manchester on Monday evening, says the Gibraltar Government.
Among these were the Home Secretary John Reid, the chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee Mike Grapes, the Minister for Europe Geoff Hoon and Gib group chairman Lindsay Hoyle.
In his speech Mr Hoon thanked the Chief Minister for his diligence in relation to the Tripartite Agreement describing Peter Caruana as "a hard negotiator" and the Agreement as "a good and practical agreement for Gibraltar".
For his part the Chief Minister devoted his speech to explaining the Agreement in full thanking the British Government for helping to convince Spain that Gibraltar should be an equal party at any discussions.
