UK gambling minister visits Gibraltar

UK Sport & Gambling Minister Richard Caborn is in Gibraltar to-day at the invitation of the Gibraltar Government. Mr Caborn has expressed interest in seeing how Gibraltar
operates in its role as a leading global jurisdiction for on-line gambling.
The visit also gives Gibraltar Government and industry players the opportunity to continue their lobby of the UK and other Governments in relation to on-line gambling access to their markets.
Mr Caborn was met at the airport by the Chief Minister Peter Caruana. The visit started with a meeting with the Chief Minister at No 6 Convent Place.
Later, both the Chief Minister and Mr Caborn, toured the facilities of (Cassava), and were hosted to lunch there by CEO, John Anderson.
After lunch Mr Caborn will be given a Rock Tour by the Gibraltar Tourist Board.
Later to-day senior local industry figures will meet with Mr Caborn and the Chief Minister,prior to attending a dinner hosted by Deputy Chief Minister Joe Holliday in honour of Mr Caborn.
