 HMS Enterprise provided a fitting backdrop for the 21-Gun Salute
In brilliant sunshine, Thomson's Battery of the Royal Gibraltar Regiment fired a 21-Gun Salute to mark the anniversary of Accession to the Throne of Queen Elizabeth II. The Mayor of Gibraltar, Mrs Olga Zammitt, was the Reviewing Officer and she was accompanied by the Regiment's Commanding Officer, Lt Col Colin Risso.

| A Spanish national resident in Estepona was arrested by officers of the RGP Marine Section during the weekend and has appeared in court facing drug trafficking charges. It follows a chase by the Spanish customs 'Servicio Vigilancia Aduanera' into Gibraltar territorial waters of a fast launch.

The GBSA Team Snooker League Over in the harbour, in The Mediterranean Rowing Club, the home boys were beaten by the visitors from Both Worlds! In a very tight, close-fought match, Chris Nuñez, the Med's star man, played and beat Jim Weir 49 points to 20.
