You are telling me, Y que mal tiene que one of Her Majesty's
ministers should visit our Gibraltar? That is the question I
ask.
You have hit the nail en la cabeza, El Moratinos otra vez
morao, y eso que el ministron Hoon was in our Gibraltar a
se enfada in Spain.
Esto es politiqueo and nothing more, porque Gibraltar is the
last thing many Spaniards have in their minds.
I mean, imaginate if we got upset porque un
Spanish ministron visited La Linea, in fact, that is what they
should do, porque tienen al Campo abandonao. .
All they can think of doing in the Campo is installing petro-chemical
Y el Chief Ministron se va a Los Barrios to celebrate their
300th anniversary como pueblo. I ask the question: Will the
alcaldes come to Gibraltar on 4 August to celebrate our 300th
anniversary?
They could help us hold hands between La Farola and
Sotogrande, if you ask me.
Y al Chief Ministron los alcaldes le invitan to integrate more
in the Campo, as if we were another municipality and he was
our alcalde.
Te dire que the one to meet the alcaldes should be our alcalde,
and not our Head of State, We have to keep a diplomatic
balance, it's so obvious.
Y ahora nos dicen que los external borders of Europe end at La
Linea, pues mira que bien, should we not undo all the harm
that Europe has been doing to us?
That is a good question for the Chief Ministron to answer,
what we cannot keep doing is get a slap on one side of the
face and put the other.
Have no fear the ex Governors are here! Y fueron al museo, of
all places, instead of meeting the ordinary people.
We'll have to park in La Linea,
What poor planning, my dear. Someone should have sent out a
disused aircraft carrier and we could have parked on it. In
fact, we should buy one of those before they send them to the
scrap yard and use it as a parking area on a permanent basis.
What a bright idea. On that point I say Three Cheers for the
300th anniversary.
Que viva our Gibraltar! Tally-ho!

PLENTY OF £££s GOING OUT THE WINDOW
If you stand outside 6 Convent Place, you might be lucky to
catch a few pound notes flying out any of the windows because
if you ask me, I'd say that's where it's going.
£36,500,000.00 is the cost to run the department of Public
Services, Environment, Sports & Youth. That's the latest figure
I have. And who do you think pays for all this ? That's right
my friends... it's you and everybody else that pays taxes. But
the attitude by our Government, and some of those they employ,
has been one of "Who Cares". I have a good job, I have a good
salary and I am a big fish in a small pond and the money I am
spending, it ain't mine...
Wrong my friend...the money being spent is also yours as well
as everyone else's and Mr. Caruana should get it through his
skull that when he was voted for the Chief Minister's
position, he was being entrusted to act as a leader and as an
intelligent manager of funds to run Gibraltar.
If I were to list in detail where and how the above figure of
£36,000,000.00, I would be needing more than just a column, I
would have to ask for a special edition just for the Watch
Dog. So, instead of listing all those executive positions,I'll
list the departments showing next to them, estimated running
costs:

£6,737,000.00- and that's just the cost of running the

HOW DOES THE GLOVE FIT YOU (COMO SE TE QUEDO EL CUERPO) ??
We have a Government that refuses to spend our money wisely.
We have a Government that needs to cut/trim some fat to reduce
expenses and does not.
We have a Government that ignores small infrastructure
repairs. We have a Government of far too many
chiefs/executives or whatever Peter wants to call them.
Gibraltarians have the power(I'd like to call it PEOPLE'S
POWER) to get the Government to change both attitude and
pueblo mentality that they have. We should make sure that
Peter Caruana is aware of how people are feeling towards his
way of governing. And, if that doesn't not work out...Then
it's time to change...
