Locuras de verano...
My dear Cloti, la calo y el levenate is too much to handle,
algunos van a terminar chiflao.
You are telling me, querida Cynthia, por un lado el Gibraltar
Regiment y otros mandos in summer hours, which has affected
hasta el Convent, so you can imaginate como andan las cosas.
Is the fortress secure? Como para mandar a esta gente a Iraq
con la calo que hace por aquellos contomos, I mean they would
be on summer hours all the year round.
Es que la banda esta borracha, my dear. Y quien sabe, while
the Fortess is closed, algunos la pasaran playing golf en los
alrededores.
No wonder que el British Governation has announced military
cuts, which are bound to affect our Gibraltar as well sooner
or later.
Yo empezaba por quitarie los palos de golf a you-know-who,
porque si hace calorto defend our Gibraltar tambien hace calor
pa esta en los campo de golf.
Anyway, there will be a mini-armada in port to celebrate lo
del Tercentenary.
And you will have noticed que uno de los barco is American,
which sends a clear message to Bono.
And who is Bono?
My dear, ese es el Spanish ministron of defence, que sordo no
estara que our friends the Americans are showing their flag in
our Gibraltar.
Este es el que dijo que Gibraltar was a Spanish port cuando lo
del Tireless, oh dear!
Meanwhile la Marilou y el Lionel in un verdadero taco con esto
del holding-hands, porque if you hold hands how do you drink
your Coke?
Que agudo, my dear. Estos dos were told by los de Coca que
como la cosa tiiene Cola, que they were withdrawing from the
sponsorship tal y como had first been planned.
Pero ni Marilou ni Lionel told the public about it, asi que
they have generated un confusion de upa.
Oh well, three cheers for our Gibraltar.
And that includes la Caleta. Bye.

PLENTY OF £££s GOING OUT THE WINDOW
If you stand outside 6 Convent Place, you might be lucky to
catch a few pound notes flying out any of the windows because
if you ask me, I'd say that's where it's going.
£36,500,000.00 is the cost to run the department of Public
Services, Environment, Sports & Youth. That's the latest figure
I have. And who do you think pays for all this ? That's right
my friends... it's you and everybody else that pays taxes. But
the attitude by our Government, and some of those they employ,
has been one of "Who Cares". I have a good job, I have a good
salary and I am a big fish in a small pond and the money I am
spending, it ain't mine...
Wrong my friend...the money being spent is also yours as well
as everyone else's and Mr. Caruana should get it through his
skull that when he was voted for the Chief Minister's
position, he was being entrusted to act as a leader and as an
intelligent manager of funds to run Gibraltar.
If I were to list in detail where and how the above figure of
£36,000,000.00, I would be needing more than just a column, I
would have to ask for a special edition just for the Watch
Dog. So, instead of listing all those executive positions,I'll
list the departments showing next to them, estimated running
costs:

HOW DOES THE GLOVE FIT YOU (COMO SE TE QUEDO EL CUERPO) ??
We have a Government that refuses to spend our money wisely.
We have a Government that needs to cut/trim some fat to reduce
expenses and does not.
We have a Government that ignores small infrastructure
repairs. We have a Government of far too many
chiefs/executives or whatever Peter wants to call them.
Gibraltarians have the power(I'd like to call it PEOPLE'S
POWER) to get the Government to change both attitude and
pueblo mentality that they have. We should make sure that
Peter Caruana is aware of how people are feeling towards his
way of governing. And, if that doesn't not work out...Then
it's time to change...
